Posts from November 2021

On 13th November 2021 the 693rd Lord Mayor of the City of London is holding the annual Lord Mayor’s show and this year the Order of Women Freemasons has been invited by the Metropolitan Grand Lodge to join them on their float.
The parade commences at 11am and goes from Mansion House to the Royal Courts via St Pauls – it is free to come along and watch the entire parade.

The Show dates back to the early 13th century when King John allowed the City of London to appoint its own Mayor and since then the noisy, colourful, joyous procession developed into what it is now.

Come along and give us a wave! We will be parading with Float 57.
On 5th July 2021 The Order of Women Freemasons participated in the national NHS Social Care & Frontline Workers' Day raising a massive £15,000.00 for NHS charities.
Wherever they were in the United Kingdom the Order's Lodges united at the same time at1pm and held local garden parties to thank the NHS, social care and all those that work on the front line, who have saved so many lives during the pandemic and also to remember those workers sadly lost to the pandemic.

From this one event £15,000.00 has been donated to NHS Charities.

On the 5th of July OWF members from far and wide demonstrated their charity, one of the three founding principles of Freemasonary.
Congratulations to The Order of Women Freemasons member Bro Balbir Seimar BEM for being honoured with a civic reception by Walsall Council for her 30 years work for charitable causes.
Bro Seimar was awarded The British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen’s New Year Honours List this year “for her services to the homeless and to the community of Walsall”.

Through her work Bro Seimar BEM displays the qualities of a true Freemason by demonstrating the three founding principles of Freemasonry – Brotherly Love (kindness), Relief (charity) and Truth (being a good person and upright citizen).
