Women Freemasons in Shropshire raise money for the British Heart Foundation

Members of Lodge Salopia/Ludlow Castle, which meets in Wellington, Shropshire, recently presented a cheque to the British Heart Foundation, the Worshipful Master's chosen charity for the year. The money donated was raised through fundraising efforts of members of the Lodge during the year. 

 

Charitable giving and service is one of the founding principles of Freemasonry. Our members raise large amounts of money for charity by holding social events which also offer members the opportunity to get to know each other on an informal basis. Each Worshipful Master selects, during her year of office, usally a charity particularly dear to her and often local to her lodge.
