The annual Installation Ceremony of Lodge Golden Rule No. 1 has been held in The Order of Women Freemasons’ Grand Lodge temple located on Pembridge Gardens, London, the regular meeting place for the Lodge. During an excellent ceremony the new Worshipful Master was installed in the Chair of King Solomon and she will now guide the Lodge during the forthcoming year – welcoming new members, holding degree ceremonies and organising social events.

Lodge Golden Rule No 1 was the first lodge to be consecrated when the Order was formed in 1908. The Founder Members were Rev Dr William and Mrs Hettie Cobb – Rev Dr William Cobb was the Order’s first Grand Master - Horace and Emma Geddes, EC Ryan, John Johns and Millicent Mackenzie.

At the same time 2 other Lodges were consecrated – Lodge Emulation No 2 and Lodge of Unity No 3. All three consecrated in June 1908 are still active and all still meet in the Grand Lodge temple on Pembridge Gardens.
