Not a dry eye in the Lodge!

W Bro Anne Wood installed Bro Maureen Bristow into the Chair of King Solomon (below right), and not only was W Bro Bristow the first 'Brother' to be installed in the Lodge for 11 years, she was also initiated, passed and raised by W Bro Wood when she was Master in a previous year. There was another emotional moment when W Bro Bristow invested her sister, Bro Janet Edmond as Inner Guard (below left). But there was yet another surprise.... W Bro Grace Cartwright PDGSuptWks, who will be 100 years old in September, is the senior Past Master of the Lodge. She has been virtually housebound for a few months but was determined that she would present the Charity Sash to W Bro Wood. Her daughter brought her to the Lodge, helped her to don her regalia and she made a grand entrance, to gasps of amazement, presented the sash before being whisked off again by her daughter. All present were visibly moved by W Bro Grace's appearance.
