Tonight Scotland will be celebrating Burns Night - a celebration of the poet Robbie Burns. Robbie Burns became a Freemason in 1741. In 1801, after his death in 1796, a group of his masonic friends gathered to celebrate his life and work - Haggis was served and his works recited and sung. The tradition has continued ever since throughout the world on his birthday - 25th January.
Burns Night will be celebrated around the world this year in a very different way due to the Coronovirus lockdown but however it is being celebrated the members of the Order of Women Freemasons wish everyone celebrating their good wishes.
